are we the right fit for you?

If you’re looking for a holistic practice that cares about “cause based” treatment, providing a safe space for your voice to be heard, or an office fit for treating the whole family at once, then yes, we are here for you.

Below we cover our Good Faith Estimate and Payment Options.

what to expect

If this is your first time seeing a chiropractor or your first time seeing chiropractors who specialize in the integrative therapies we offer, we want to make sure you know what to expect in your first visit.

The first appointment in our office will be centered around a new patient exam, and the chance to express your concerns and medical history with the doctor. Depending on your exam and the findings, you may or may not have an adjustment at your first visit. After your exam, the doctor will create a plan of care for you to determine the number of visits you may need, and what your treatment goals are.

You can get an idea of the cost of your first visit and following visits in our Good Faith Estimate below.

Payment options

Whether you plan to use insurance, auto benefits, or self-pay we have options available for you. Open each of the payment options listed to see which one is best for you.

  • Back In Balance is a NON-PARTICIPATING provider with Medicare. This means as the patient you will be responsible for the total cost of your visit each time you are seen. We will send the claims to Medicare for your reimbursement. Medicare will reimburse the patient directly based on what they deem “Medically Necessary”. Please note, Medicare only covers the cost of chiropractic adjustments designed to help correct vertebral subluxation during an active treatment plan.

  • If you have been in an auto accident you have the option to bill your auto insurance using PIP (personal injury protection). In the state of FL you have 14 days following the date of loss to seek treatment using your auto insurance. Depending on your policy and deductible, you may be able to use your PIP benefits as payment for your treatment. If you have an attorney representing you, we can work with them as well.

  • For self-pay patients we offer a 20% discount called the “Paperwork Reduction” discount. To receive the discount you must sign and agree to our policy stating you understand that the doctor and staff will no longer be performing time and cost intensive paperwork procedures that are associated with billing medically necessary procedures to third party payors. This means that the doctors notes will not be tailored to the needs of the insurance company and the staff will not be submitting billing and payment information to your insurance company for reimbursement. THESE NOTES TYPICALLY WILL BE UNSATISFACTORY FOR INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT OR A COURT CASE.

It is our mission to provide the highest quality care at an affordable price. We believe this discount to be highly beneficial to self-paying patients and most patients whose insurance we are not in network with.

  • If we are out of network with your insurance policy, as a courtesy we can offer to bill your claims to your insurance company for you. However, we are considered non-contracted with your policy meaning that you will have patient responsibility for payment of the full cost of your services at each visit. Your insurance company may reimburse you directly depending on your out of network benefits for Chiropractic care.

No Suprises Act - related to billing

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs,
    equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or
    service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
